The Colorado can be seen in Pictured: Close to Home, Our Own Spectacular National Parks at the St. George Museum in St. George, Utah from January 15 – May 28, 2016. I’m excited my work is included in this all media art exhibit!
I started The Colorado in 2013 and finished it in 2015. It is based on some photos I took along the South Rim Walk at the Grand Canyon. It was a beautiful and easy walk after our big hike down to Plateau Point a day or two earlier. But it was very misty that day on the rim, so I made it with brighter colors that I remembered from my hikes below the rim.
